damaged goods

so the last (and first) time i did a hybrid project, i was pretty stoked with the results click here to view project. it was fun to take digital supplies and then create something with my hands. but, i did find a few flaws with it. for one thing, my paper trimmer refused to cut straight lines, making for a crooked cover. another mistake was that i used a regular hole punch to punch my holes for the rings. i should have used a smaller one for a neater appearance. but the biggest mistake i made was not using some sort of protective cover/glaze on the inside pages. here is what my hybrid mini-album looks like now:

hahaha. it's laughable, right? it got in this condition during our move to town | click on image to view larger |. it was carelessly packed and somehow got a bit wet. to say i was a little heart broken wouldn't be a lie.

it didn't help that the little bean got her oh-so-lovable but destructive little hands on it. and mouth. did i mention that she's teething? anyway, more damage ensued.

today i am going start on another hyrbid project. i'm calling it re-designed: hybrid project no.II. this time around i will be laminating my inner pages. hopefully it doesn't go seriously wrong, lol! if all goes well i will be back to share. if it doesn't, well, i'll probably be back to share so you know what NOT to do when creating a hybrid album, lol!

i'll leave you with a photo i got of the little bean on Sunday. and look! she's wearing shoes (actually, they're booties + she couldn't kick them off cause they were tied!)!

xoxo

Too bad about the damage. I personally like the "lived in" look of chewed corners etc.! Love the album in all its forms!

She looks so big, and I love booties instead of shoes at that age:)
